The SmartTap online ticketing system is going live on 16 September 2024. This will apply only to those passengers who currently use cash to travel. The date for the weekly and monthly tickets users will be announced in the next few weeks.
As we implement the SmartTap system, there will be slight fare adjustments for some passengers. This comes as a result of the new zonal system that seeks to realign fares for purposes of standardization, and therefore fairness towards all passengers whose areas have been grouped together.
