Putco is urging passengers in the Moloto, Wolwekraal, Vaalbank and Siyabuswa areas to make alternative transport arrangements for 28 January 2025. Our service will be seriously impacted after an estimated 47 buses were burnt down by unknown people on the evening of 27 January 2025.
Two Putco employees were attacked, and one is in a critical condition in hospital. There were no injuries as a result of the fire. We appeal for patience as our operations team is considering ways to avoid a prolonged inconvenience to commuters. Putco will inform the passengers as soon as there are any updates.
The police are investigating the incident.
